Rumusan Pakatan menang besar tak tepat, kata KJ

Posted: 12 Aug 2011 10:31 PM PDT

"Isu-isu ekonomi membabitkan semua.

NONE"Kita beri anda amaran terakhir.

Thuggery unbecoming of a senator, Ezam

Posted: 12 Aug 2011 02:23 AM PDT

I am shocked that it has come to this (Senator Ezam threatens to 'burn down' news portals). That individuals who are educated and who hold political office cannot debate, discuss in a competent, professional, dedicated and moderate manner on any issues!

Is it the culture now in Malaysia to issue threats, scream seditious utterances and in this case a threat to burn down private buildings housing news portals?

What is the message we are giving the international community by this act?

The threat was made by a senator, from the ruling party, not a political moron or idiot suffering from some neurological disorder. Is this going to be the Malaysian way to address national issues every time a scandal or fiasco is unearthed?

To address them with threats, seditious utterances, criminal intimidation, and to burn effigies and portraits of political foes and opponents at each and every political discourse?

I am sure these threats issued in the manner they have appeared, first in Penang a month or so ago, and again, today shockingly, in the month of Ramadan and after Friday prayers, when it is a religious month whence one reflects, pauses, fasts, prays, do all such good works, initiates reconciliation between man and man and man and the Almighty!

I am certain there is nothing in there that mentions about uttering seditious statements, threats, even criminal intimidation and damage to property in this case initiating a fire on a property housing two news portals that have being extremely popular domestically and respected internationally on an allegation that is unfounded and wild.

How is Malaysia going to attract foreign direct investments, investors and international tourists if these forms of increased religious bigotry, racism, arrogance and thuggery becomes our way of life!

Now we have racist NGO's playing vigilant roles on public and private morality and values and at times forcing down their tunnel vision racist philosophies on others.

Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and the entire Barisan Nasional team, is this the way to address issues in Malaysia? Is this Umno senator above the law?

By his behaviour he has smeared the image of all senators who are expected to uphold the law not break it no matter what he allegations or issues are.

Malaysia is not a banana republic. We have laws in Malaysia, we have public institutions, we have the police and legislation to address issues not mob justice and rule.

I cannot but fear for the future.

Instant citizens: Umno wins, whole country loses

Posted: 12 Aug 2011 12:04 AM PDT

Recent alternative media news reports suggest that the Election Commission (EC) and the National Registration Department (NRD) are working hand-in-hand in a population re-engineering scam. This is due to the fact that there is evidence of the existence of phantom voters, cloned voters and 'instant citizens'.

This malaise if allowed to continue unchecked will certainly serve to hijack the nation's economic pie as well as debunk the neutrality of the public institutions such as the EC and the NRD whose code of ethics must surely demand that they act neutral at all times.

The proliferation of phantom voters as well as cloned voters due to the 'instant citizens' easily obtaining MyKad and getting to vote as their names are instantly registered in the voter rolls, negates the one man-one vote system as it becomes a free-for-all where the party who has immense financial clout is able to manipulate the voting results in their favour through the buying of votes.

Population re-engineering occurs when the nation's demographics are drastically altered due to manipulation. And this is what is happening here. This manipulation may even endanger national interest if the ever-shrinking economic pie due to large slices being given to cronies has to be shared with a large and sudden increase in population.

It is just too much of a coincidence that the registering of legal and illegal foreign workers using the biometric system is held before the coming 13th general election which is reported to be just around the corner.

Foreign workers becoming instant citizens/instant voters can only happen with the tacit approval from the powers-that-be, i.e. the government of the day, which happens to be the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.

The citizenship given to these foreign workers in exchange for a vote for BN is akin to selling the nation's rights at the drop of a hat.

That this is happening on a daily basis is a great cause of concern for the nation's citizens and must definitely not be condoned but instead must be brought to the attention of the Yang Di Pertuan Agong who is mandated with safeguarding the sanctity of the federal constitution.
